I received these super cool solar lights to review and I couldn't be happier about them. I am obsessed with anything solar powered right now, especially garden lights. As it finally turns to Spring here in Michigan I have been excited to start weeding my flower beds and  planing on how to design and decorate our backyard.  Well more about the decorating less about the weeding.  I have decided I am going to be using a lot of solar lighting in our year this year.  This is one of the first lighting decorations I have placed back there.  I placed these lights around my daylilies  that are coming up next to our swing.  I placed the solar panel on the spike that is included and made sure I placed it where it would receive the most sun. At dusk I pressed the on button and the mode button to make sure it wasn't on the flashing mode and enjoyed the lights when they came on.
The solar panel seems to store a lot of energy from the sun because even on overcast days these lights still light up.  The lights are not super briht but they give off a very nice warm glow that totally gets noticed. My neighbor asked about them the next day.   There are two buttons on the back an on/off button and a mode button, the mode button changes the lights from a blinking light to a light that stays on.  These are very simple to use.  I love them .

I wanted to share this pretty great body wash. I love, love, love the scent of this shower gel. It has a smokey earthly scent that is more on the masculine side, I really wish I could by the scent. The amazing scent is from the Vetiver essential oil and Rosemary essential oils.   But the shower gel is so concentrated it is kind of amazing that such a small amount of this body wash creates such a sudsy lather.  My husband and I both use this and we both agree that this is fantastic.  It cleans thoroughly without being drying, it gets greasy and dirt off so quickly, we use it to clean our hands and feet when coming inside after gardening or playing out side.
We usually  use a homemade body wash with Dr. Bronners becasue we like to use natural products. But this natural body wash is so much fancier and it smells better than my homemade one.

Here is a super cool DIY kit to make a natural face mist. French Rose Hibiscus Face Mist Making Kit - Make 4 Bottles with Organic & Natural Ingredients from Urban Kangaroo sold on Amazon.com .    I found it very simple to follow the included directions. Every thing is included with this set from the glass bottles, to the labels and the dries roses and hibiscus. I also think this is a easy fun crafty way to start with DIY skin care and using natural and organic ingredients. Best of all this was delivered to my door step very fast with my Amazon Prime.  I do want to disclose that I receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.  I am including pictures of this great kit, the link for those that are interested, and my review of this fun product.

This was so much fun to make! I really do enjoy making and creating my own skincare products so this kit was right up my alley. This french rose and hibiscus face mist kit came with everything I needed to make a set of 4 2oz bottles. The directions were very easy and simple to follow. All I needed was a glass mixing bowl, a plate to cover the bowl, a funnel to easily pour the mixture into the glass bottles, and spring water. I followed the directions and mixed the flowers in the bag, brought the water to boil and poured it over the flowers. I then let it steep according the directions and when time was up I added the organic coconut juice, organic aloe, witch hazel, and the preservatives and poured into the glass bottles and put the included labels and directions on the bottles and I was done! It was very simple. I was impressed with the end result looking so professional with the labels.
I have been using the face mist and I really like it. I like the way the romantic scent lingers on my skin and I also like how this mist works like a toner after I wash my face. I decided to keep two bottles and I gave one to my neighbor and the other to my sister in law. Both were very impressed that I made these myself. My other diy skin care finished products have never looked this nice. I usually have them in mason jars.
I would recommend this kit to anyone interested in diy skin products.

Welcome

Hello, My name is Tanya.  I am 33 years old and I am a Mom of two lovely, passionate daughters.  I have a hard working husband who supports my crazy ways. I have to say I am very blessed. My family and I think we look like a pretty normal family from afar but spending  any amount of time with us reveals we are just as dysfunctional  and kooky as the next family.
I consider myself to be a crunchy lady with a moderately crunchy family.  Now we are not a bunch of dirty hippies, even though I think that sounds like a blast.  We are just a middle class family in the suburbs of  Metro Detroit  trying to make healthy choices and keeping it real.
I don't have a ton of crunchy friends so I figured I would start a blog to share my experiences, ideas, recipes, my parenting struggles, funny and embarrassing things that I do and a place to find some neat high quality products that I have reviewed.
I can honestly say I am pretty excited to share myself with the online community and putting myself and my ways out there.
I hope my new blog will be fun and informative.
