I have always wanted to make poached eggs but have been very intimidated to do so the traditional way. I have honestly only had poached eggs at restaurants before. Well now I can make perfect poached eggs.

I did have to google how to use silicone egg poaching cups to figure it out, but it was honestly easy once I knew how. First started to boiled a pot of water and then put the cups in with a little bit of butter, once the water reached a boil I put an egg in each cup and seasoned it with salt and pepper. I then placed a top on the pot and waited about 4 minutes I them used a pair of tongs to get the cup out, this didn't work so well for me becasue I ended up dunking the egg in the water. So I grabbed my spider strainer and was able to scoop the cups out much better. To get the eggs out I just used a spoon. The eggs were done just how I like them.

These are able to me washed in the dish washer or by hand. I do have to warn not to just grab the cup out of the boiling water with a finger cause the cups are hot. Also I found it best to not over crowd the pot, so I used two pots and had two cups in each. And if the top is not on the pot it takes the eggs forever. These are all thing I found out while testing these cups.
